Liberty Professionals U-19 have secured two wins at the ongoing 2nd Liberty International U-19 Classic Tournament with a 2-1 win over Festac Academy of Nigeria and a 2-0 win over Gamba All Blacks.

The event that started from Sunday drew a large number of football lovers and scouts from Europe among them Patrick Moak and Jan Mak from Sweden, Nicolae Pirnau, Andrei Zolotco and Leonid Istrati from Moldova, Yarosvinskiy Oleg and Belousov Vladimir from Russia, Sorin Sava and Danciu Ioan from Romania, Grads Fuhler from Holland, Tassos Sioulas from Greece and Michael Frank from Denmark.
Also among the dignitaries was the former GHALCA Chairman, J Y Appiah, Alhaji Ibrahim Sly Tetteh, President of Liberty Professional, Felix Kwabena Ansong, chairman of Liberty Professional and Alhaji Franko Lamptey, President of Zaytuna United FC.
In the first game of the opening day Zaytuna United FC enjoying support from their President Alhaji Franko and Chief Executive Talal Fattal managed a deserving 2-1 win over Liberty Academy of Togo.
Rasta haired Daniel Larbi and Nicholas Coffie scored for Zaytuna before Vovo Edem scored a consolation for Liberty Academy Togo.
In the second match of the day, Salifu Latif put Liberty Professional ahead after the break before Maduicha Arthur pulled FESTAC Academy even with a deft strike on the hour mark.
But when all looked like ending in a draw right full back Otto Dodoo blasted in the winner with five minutes to go to secure a win for Liberty Professionals.
Monday morning came too early for Liberty Professional, but they managed a 2-0 win over Gamba All Blacks with goals from strike revelation Salifu Latif and Richmond Rodger.
The first and second were a great finish and a perfect reward for persistence and hardwork.
The tournament runs into the weekend for the grand finals.
