Charles Ankapong popularly known as Gyasi is a young gifted central/defensive midfielder. He is an outstanding, physical and a powerhouse midfielder. He has shown himself to possess the touch of Kaká and the combativeness of his compatriot Michael Essien. His skills are exhibited equally well on defence and on the attack. He tackles hard, marks effectively, dependably wins his 1 x 1 encounters, and recovers many balls for the team. He is an intelligent player and a devoted competitor. He is absolutely a player to keep a close eye on.

The player has the ability to tackle and intimidate outstanding opponents. Exhibits tireless running and astute passing ability. He has abundant strength & stamina and difficult to beat. High work rate and commitment. He has good vision and applies himself across the entire pitch.

He plays in front of the back four, breaking up opposing attacking movements. His tough yet accurate tackling and his perfect short passing exemplify a typical defensive midfielder. He tackles well to wins the 50-50 ball and he safely distribute it to more attacking-minded players. Not all of his tackles are clean, but they are always spectacular and entertaining. His placement and vision in matches is excellent. He is an intelligent player and a devoted competitor. His effort for the team is indefatigable and his mental attitude is outstanding.
