Nigeria's Golden Eaglets have been crowned U17 African Champions. Nigeria have won the tournament for a second time in history after beating hosts Togo 1-0 on Sunday evening after extra-time. Nigeria won the Cup for the first time in 2001.

Substitute Akinsola Kabiru finally scored the winner in the 119th minute in front of an amazing 50,000 supporters who have left shocked. The match went into extra-time after a hard-fought encounter ended goalless in normal time.

Kabiru chased a loose ball after an error in the Togo defence and scored the only goal of the match.

Underdogs and host Togo showed a courageous performance during the tournament but Nigeria was a lucky but deserved winner. CAF president Issa Hayatou presented the Nigerians with the trophy.
