Francis Akinremi, General Manager of FAK-REM Football Academy/Club is back at the National Institute of Sports after taking some leave for his political campaign to become the first president of the newly founded Nigerian Association of Football Academies. He toured 36 States of Nigeria during his campaign.
But now, he is fully back to the office and can update us about the developments of the FAK-REM Football Academy/Club First Team who is having an excellent run in this year´s Orient League of the State Lagos, Nigeria.

FAK-REM Football Academy/Club - Unity Stars FC 2:0 (1:0)

The tough first half of the match for the FAK-REM Team because the Unity Stars were determined to go away from FAK-REM´s home ground with a good result in their bags. The first shock already came after 12 minutes when FAK-REM defender Idiris Mommoh fouled on the left but inside the penalty area. the referee had no doubt and pointed straight to the penalty spot. the penalty was taken by Unity Stars player Femi Oguns but FAK-REM goalkeeper Sule Aromosodun superbly save the spot kick and rescued the FAK-REM team from going ealy behind 0-1. But this early opportunity was a wake-up call for the FAK-REM Boys, who from now on put much more effort into their game and highered their work rate on the pitch.


The FAK-REM Team was rewarded quickly for their hard work. On minute 21 of the game, hitman Chinedu Obinor scored the deserved lead for the team from Surulere. A fine pass from supporting striker Ezeji Obina was taken up by Chinedu Obinor and the classy striker had no problem to put the ball past the Unity Stars goalkeeper and into the net. The 1st half ended 1-0 in favour of the FAK-REM Football Academy/Club.
In the 2nd half, again FAK-REM started slowly, probaly feeling comfortable with the 1-0 lead but the game was open at this stage. Liberian striker Alexander Sessay sealed the victory for his team with a 63rd minute goal. The 2nd goal demoralised the

visiting team Unity SFC tars and they were not able to turn the match around. FAK-REM managed to pass the ball round and keep possesion and had no problem to secure the 2-0 victory.
