The young FAK-REM team, the youngest competing in this tournament, had to pay its toll for the stunning performance in the match of the last 16 in this tournament, when beating England (ROBO FC) 2:1 to proceed to the quarter final. The tough and tiring last 16 match was too much for the FAk-REM Boys at the end.
GERMANY (FAK-REM) started as usual with their attractive attacking football and within 10 minutes after kick-off FAK-REM striker Onyekachi Luther Young put his Academy team with 1:0 in front. FAK-REM fought a great battle on the field and defended the one goal league into the half -time break.

In the second half FRANCE (Startler FC) dominated the game but FAK-REM defended very well until the 80th minute, when the Startler´s equalized. The young FAK-REM Player´s where just to tired to turn the match around. The match finally ended 1:1 and the penalties had to decide who procedes to the semi final.

The penalty shoot out ended 4:5 to France (Startler FC) who proceeded to the semi final.

Sunday Osaque, Sunday Ogorja, Babatunde Ijaleye and Idris Momo all scored in the penalty shoot out for FAK-REM (Germany). Unlucky captain Ajiboye Mathew missed the only penalty in this shoot-out.

The FAK-REM Fottball Academy can be very proud on their young team. Their quality performances, fighting and team spirit prove the excellent work
done during the past years at the FAK-REM Football Academy.

These FAK-REM Boys, lead by their inspirational captain Ajiboye Mathew, have a great future and are youngsters that have the abilities to make their way into professional football.
