FAK-REM Football Academy/Club (Germany) beat Geryant Pirate FC (Poland) 2:0 with goals from Gbenga Ogungbemi and Onyekachi Luther Young.
The second match of Group A in the RE-MOCK World Cup between Germany (FAK-REM) and Poland (Geryant Pirate FC) was played on 16th of May, at 14:00 (local time).
The match showed excellent quality football over the entire 90 minutes. The FAK-REM Boys started very well into the game and there had been only 5 minutes played when FAK-REM took the lead after a fine left footed shot by FAK-REM´s Gbenga Ogungbemi. It was a fine effort by the young FAK-REM player which put his team with 1-0 in front.
But the Gerynt Boys (Poland) did not give up and showed some classy football and had their opportunities to draw level. Still, the FAK-REM team dominated the game and showed excellent passing skills and fluid combinations in midfield. It was an exciting game with both team creating chances on both sides of the field. The first half entertained the spectators and ended with a 1-0 lead for the FAK-REM Football Academy/Club.
The second half was even better and FAK-REM was willing to decide the match. Eager to score the second goal FAK-REM Football Academy (Germany) put all efforts into attacking the Geryant Pirate (Poland) goal. It took 65 minutes into the game when Onyekachi Luther Young, a physically very strong striker sored the second goal for FAK-REM. The Fak-REM Boys, managed by Wale Oris, totally deserved the 2-0 lead after trying with all efforts to decide the match.
In the last 25 minutes, Germany (FAK-REM) kept possession of the ball and controlled the entire game. the matcheneded finally 2-0 for the FAK-REM Boys.
FAK-REM is now leading the top of Group A with a maximum of 6 points out of 2 matches.
FAk-REM´s final match of Group A will be played Friday, 19th of May 2006.
